Plantation Nepal

Monitoring

Monitoring and evaluation are essential for accurately assessing the impact of plantation activities. Effective monitoring not only measures forest yield and planting success but also evaluates the overall effectiveness of the program. It is critical for addressing major threats to plantation sites.  To facilitate this, we establish permanent sampling plots and monitor the plantation areas on a predetermined schedule. In these sample plots, we assess various factors, including plant success rates, species composition, growth and development, and disturbances such as forest fires, grazing, and flooding. This information aids in our replanting efforts. Additionally, we conduct regular forest yield surveys to measure the resources available in the plantation areas.
