Plantation Nepal

ABOUT PIN

Welcome to Plantation Initiative Nepal.

Plantation Initiative Nepal (PIN) is a non-profit NGO registered with the DAO Lalitpur and affiliated with SWC, holding affiliation number 48774 as of 2075/06/15. PIN’s objective is to advance environmental protection efforts by generating employment opportunities for marginalized communities. The organization prioritizes particularly vulnerable groups, such as female-headed households, individuals with disabilities, and unemployed youth. These individuals participate in nursery development and plantation activities, which provide them with essential income and skills for the future while contributing to local environmental sustainability. These activities provide participants with a source of income, which is crucial for improving their livelihoods. Additionally, the skills and experience gained through these activities can lead to further opportunities in the field of environmental management and related sectors. By restoring degraded lands and increasing forest cover, PIN contributes to the enhancement of local biodiversity, soil conservation, and climate regulation. These efforts help combat deforestation, reduce soil erosion, and improve the overall health of ecosystems. Ultimately, PIN focuses on both forest restoration and the empowerment of individuals, helping them to become successful in the future.

Overall, Plantation Initiative Nepal is making significant strides in both ecological restoration and social empowerment. Its comprehensive approach addresses critical needs while working towards a greener and more equitable future for Nepal.
